Board and Train programs involve the dog living in the trainer’s home for the duration of the program, receiving multiple training sessions daily. The Basic Obedience 3 Week Program ($2800) focuses on fundamental commands like sit/down stay, loose leash walking, place, come, and kennel manners, along with addressing minor behavioral issues such as jumping, counter surfing, and barking. This program includes twice-weekly email and video updates, a training tool (slip leash or Herm Sprenger Prong collar), a 2-hour go-home lesson, a follow-up lesson, and boarding privileges post-completion. The Advanced Obedience 4 Week Program ($3600) builds upon basic obedience, aiming for off-leash freedom. It is also suitable for dogs with more significant behavioral issues like lunging at people or dogs, separation/general anxiety, or fearful behaviors. This program includes recall with distractions, Ecollar conditioning (additional cost), twice-weekly updates, a training tool, a 2-hour go-home lesson, two follow-up lessons, and boarding privileges.

Private Lessons are one-on-one sessions with the dog, owner, and trainer, typically starting in the client’s home to integrate training into daily life. This option is designed for owners who wish to be actively involved in the learning process and can dedicate at least an hour daily to training. The process begins with an initial 90-minute lesson ($100) to discuss the dog’s behavior history, training goals, and provide detailed information on dog behavior. Following this, clients can choose from various packages: a Puppy Package (3 one-hour lessons for $350, for puppies under 5 months), a Basic Package (5 one-hour lessons for $450), or an Advanced Package (8 one-hour lessons for $1600). Lessons are scheduled weekly or biweekly, with guidance provided for practice between sessions.

Lucid K9 was founded by Madison, whose love for dogs began at a young age. She pursued a career in veterinary medicine, becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician with 7 years of experience. During this time, she observed thousands of dogs and their behavior, often becoming the go-to technician for aggressive and hard-to-handle dogs. In 2016, she began working with a local trainer, who became her mentor. Madison has committed countless hours to training, mentorship, and Continued Education courses to deepen her understanding of dog behavior and strengthen the human-canine bond.
