Lucky K9s

Lucky K9s offers effective dog training programs designed to work in real-life situations, tailored to the needs of each dog and owner. Training is taught in small, easy steps to achieve success and build a strong, respectful bond between dog and owner. They work with all breeds, sizes, and ages, focusing on basic, advanced, and off-leash obedience using a balanced approach that incorporates positive reinforcement and an understanding of dog psychology.

Specific training programs include Potty Training & Puppy Manners, Board and Train (Boot Camp), Behavior Modification, and Off-Leash E-Collar Training. The Off-Leash E-Collar Training requires prior completion of the Boot Camp program or a successful evaluation.

Policies

For boarding, dogs showing symptoms of dog flu (coughing, sneezing, fever, lethargy) should not be brought in. An evaluation of temperament and sociability is required for boarding guests who wish to participate in outdoor play. Dogs must arrive on leash, and owners must bring their dog’s food in a plastic, rodent-proof container with a tightly closing lid.

For Off-Leash E-Collar Training, dogs must have completed the Boot Camp program or pass an evaluation.

Lucky K9s, known as Santa Clarita’s Dog Wizard, offers comprehensive dog training and boarding services. Evelyne, the sole trainer, has a natural gift for understanding animals and has developed her own balanced training method based on praise and love. She tailors individual training programs for each dog and owner, leveraging her knowledge of canine psychology and specialized behavior issues.

The business aims to provide a positive foundation for establishing a healthy relationship with dogs, emphasizing respect. They work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, using a balanced approach that includes positive reinforcement and firm, non-aggressive discipline.

For boarding, Lucky K9s provides supervised space on their 1.5-acre fenced property, allowing dogs to run with a friendly pack. They offer temperature-controlled lodging, multiple potty breaks, and adhere to high safety protocols. Owners receive photo or video updates of their dogs enjoying their stay.

Accomplishments

Evelyne, the sole trainer at Lucky K9s, has had a natural gift for understanding animals since childhood, training her first dog at age 12 without formal knowledge. She transitioned to dog training full-time in 2008 and has since developed her own balanced method.

Lucky K9s has been specializing in behavior problems and obedience for companion animals for over 30 years. Evelyne is also a current puppy foster for multiple German Shepherd rescues, rehabilitating shelter mothers with their litters.
