Gina was really great! From the first moment of the process till the very end, everything went smoothly. I hate snakes, so it was not a fun experience for me to have to be anywhere near rattle snakes, but Gina made the whole process as painless as it could be for us. She’s professional and makes sure the job is done right. She won’t let you go if she thinks your dog hasn’t learned what they should and she’s very patient and kind. So far we’ve done our initial RAT course and the refresher RAT to generalize our little girl to snakes everywhere and we’ll be doing another one again next year to keep up her training. I highly recommend Gina and her group at Ma and Paw Kennel. They’re friendly and knowledgeable and have snacks and water and shade for when you’re waiting. Great operation!

I have taken my dog Sophie to Ma and Pa’s 3 times now for rattlesnake review courses. Every time they amaze me at how professional they are, nice to work with, loving with the animals and how this training will save my dogs life. I would recommend anyone with a dog to do this training…it is a MUST and affordable.

The folks and Ma n Paw did a great job with rattlesnake training. They were attentive to the individual dog’s needs, they focused on training both the dog AND the owners, and they offered a thorough range of experiences for the dog to get acquainted with the sight, sound, and smell of the rattlesnake. We live in rattlesnake country, so I’d highly recommend their training.

She has been entrusted by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, Glendale Police Department, Simi Valley Police Department, and Ventura County Police Department to train their canine units in Rattlesnake Avoidance. She graduated with high marks from K-9 Security Training in 1989 and has trained police and security dogs for the Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant.
