Testimonials
“I have been taking my dog to Mak Pack for almost 2 years now. She is not an easy dog, and Spencer has worked with me tirelessly to figure out the best way to train her to behave and interact with other dogs. She loves going to day care and I feel so good knowing she is there because I know she is safe and well cared for as well as loved. We did all three training sessions and they have been so helpful for her and I. I would (and do) recommend Mak Pack to all of my friends and colleagues.”
– Elizabeth D.
“Got my first ever dog and she needed some training. Went to Mak Pack and immediately saw a difference! The class was great for her because other dogs can be quite the distraction for her and she was able to overcome it. Additionally, Spencer took the time out of his day to help me and another owner get our pups in the car. My dog refused to get into a car unless I picked her up and he showed us how to get her to do it on her own! 1000% recommend!!”

“After seeing many good reviews we knew this was the place to bring our new puppy and they did not disappoint! We started at puppy class and went all the way through to advance! Everyone on staff is so welcoming and nice. They really care for each dog and love on them. Not only did Spencer and his team help me get my dog on path to becoming a service animal but they loved her like she was their own! I am so happy with the care and expert training we received and will be back for boarding and day care! 1 million percent recommend.”
– Jennifer D.
About the Trainer

They also feature Arizona’s first indoor dog park. Their facilities are designed to provide structure, obedience training, socialization, behavior modification, and potty training for dogs in their care.

Their all-inclusive pricing for daycare and boarding covers all aspects of a dog’s stay, including playtime, treat time, nap time, feeding, and medication, without any hidden fees.
Accomplishments
Mak Pack Dog Training & Boarding was founded seven years ago by Spencer and Lauren Mak. Spencer Mak’s dog training journey began at a young age in Vancouver, BC, where he worked alongside leading trainers at a hunting dog academy. After moving to Arizona, he worked as a dog trainer for PetSmart for seven years, during which his store became the third-best in the nation for dog training. He was hand-picked to train future dog trainers and consulted by PetSmart to revamp their dog training curriculum, which is still in use today. Mak Pack is recognized as Arizona’s #1 Rated Indoor Dog Park and has received “Best of the Valley” awards from Phoenix Magazine in 2022, 2023, and 2024, in addition to being listed as “Best Dog Training Phoenix” by The Phoenix Review.
How to Get Started!
To begin services with Mak Pack Dog Training & Boarding, clients are encouraged to “join their pack” by creating an account online or through their mobile app, which requires up-to-date medical information and signed waivers. For dog training classes, particularly Puppy/Beginner, clients should call to be added to a waitlist and create an account beforehand to expedite enrollment. For daycare and boarding services, a Meet & Greet is required, involving a gradual introduction to other dogs to ensure comfort and safety, unless the dog has participated within the last 90 days. Boarding reservations are mandatory, while daycare pre-scheduling is highly recommended. For general inquiries, emailing info@makpackaz.com is recommended for the fastest response.
