Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • Balanced Training

Puppy Training: This program is designed for puppies 18 weeks old or younger. It covers basic obedience (Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Loose Leash Walking), manners, socialization, housebreaking, crate training, chewing, and preventing resource guarding. Weekly meeting sessions help owners develop ways to keep their puppy physically and mentally stimulated.

Basic Obedience Day Training: This program consists of two to three sessions per week. Dogs learn commands such as Sit, Down, Stay, Leave it, Drop it, Loose Leash Walking, Heel, and Come. It can also address behavior issues like jumping, counter surfing, and excessive barking. Lessons can be held at the client’s home or a local park.

Advanced Obedience Day Training: Designed for dogs who have completed a Basic Obedience program or are already proficient with on-leash commands. This program consists of two to three sessions per week. It focuses on working with more difficult distractions and off-leash commands. It can also address behavior issues such as jumping, counter surfing, and excessive barking. Lessons can be held at the client’s home or a local park.

Behavior Problem Solving Day Training: This program is for more severe problems including aggression, biting, fighting, fear, resource guarding, separation anxiety, phobias, and destructive behavior. During these lessons, dogs will also learn basic commands such as Sit, Down, Stay, Loose Leash Walking, Heel, and Come. An initial evaluation is required to assess individual needs and develop a customized training program.
