AKC CGC and Public Access Tests are administered as certification evaluations.

About the Trainer
Master Dog Training is a mobile dog training service founded in 2011 by Michael Carmona, a certified dog trainer and Master’s degree holder in Applied Behavior Analysis from Cal State LA. They provide in-home obedience training, potty training, and behavior modification for family dogs, focusing on positive reinforcement with optional corrections when necessary. Services include beginner to expert obedience courses, AKC Canine Good Citizen certification, service dog training (with a required medical prescription), and public access testing. Training is tailored to each dog’s needs, with an emphasis on understanding natural drives and building a harmonious owner-dog relationship.
Michael has over 15 years of experience training dogs since 2006, having worked as a senior instructor at PetSmart and Petco, and has trained dogs for therapy, service, and family environments. His methods are grounded in operant conditioning and behavior science, and he works directly with dog owners to ensure long-term success. All training is conducted in the client’s home for real-world application.
Accomplishments
Michael Carmona holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Cal State LA, is a certified dog trainer from PetSmart and Petco, and is an AKC CGC Evaluator. He has trained dogs since 2006 and has worked with veterinarians, groomers, and rescue groups across the San Gabriel Valley.
