We took our dog Gemma to Nick this past summer for some obedience training and help with introducing her to new dogs . We like to be outdoors and go camping and needed to know that we could trust her when we had her out with us. This year, my husband and I adopted a GSP at 8 weeks old. Very quickly we knew we were in over our head as she was extremely hard to correct and did not listen. MeierK9 trains not only pet dogs and puppies but also military, police, anti-poaching, bird, and personal protection dogs. Nick combines hands-on experience from working with K9s in the U.S., Africa, and China with formal training from Tarheel, a premier K9 school. He also competes in English Springer Spaniel field trials and hunts with his own dogs, bringing real-world field expertise to training. MeierK9 is committed to building strong handler-dog bonds and emphasizes practical, results-driven methods tailored to each dog’s role and needs.
The business supports conservation efforts in Africa through anti-poaching K9 programs and operates a fully solar-powered facility.
