Middletown Dog Training Club offers 6-week courses in various disciplines. Puppy class focuses on socialization and basic problem-solving for puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old. Obedience Level I covers basic manners for dogs 6 months or older, while Level II and Advanced Obedience fine-tune skills and introduce more complex exercises, including off-leash work.
They also provide Rally-O (Novice and Advanced) which combines agility and obedience, and Fun Agility for introducing dogs to obstacles at low heights, requiring a solid obedience foundation. Scent Work/Nose Work classes help dogs use their natural sense of smell to detect odors. Conformation classes teach handlers to work with their dogs on gaiting, stacking, and preparing for breed competition.
The club also conducts AKC Evaluation Tests, including the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, for dogs one year or older who have completed Level 1 Obedience. All classes require proof of vaccinations.
