Group classes provide distraction proofing in a park setting. They are divided into Beginning (for puppies and dogs over 4 months old, covering sit, down, stay, come, heel, and common problems like digging, jumping, barking), Intermediate (for those who completed Beginning or want to prepare for Obedience Competition), and Advanced (for handlers with dogs that have earned competition titles).

Alan and Renee each possess over 37 years of experience in various dog training disciplines, including obedience, search and rescue, therapy work, herding, Earthdog, Schutzhund, French Ring, aggression, and general behavior problem solving. Renee Miller also brings 20 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician, which assists in identifying potential medical roots for behavioral issues. They have earned numerous titles and awards with diverse dog breeds in structured events, often sponsored by The American Kennel Club.

Recognizing that every dog is unique, they apply a customized approach, selecting the most effective techniques for each individual dog and handler. They have studied with top national trainers and have extensive knowledge of dog psychology, motivation, and behavior modification across all breeds. For Hamilton Street Park classes (Arcade Creek Recreation & Park District), sign-up is on the first night of class, and payment is cash only.
