Testimonials

“Toni was AMAZING!!! our pup had serious trauma after we had our first baby and would hide under the bed all day. Too scared to go outside. This training worked so well with her. Cannot recommend more!! Peaches loved her walks!”
– Allie Anderson

“We adopted two dogs in less than a month with vastly different personality needs, and Joshua was able to help us with individualized training for each of them… If you feel uncomfortable with the dog trainers who use force on the animals to get them to ‘submit,’ I can’t recommend the joyful approach of Mindful Training enough.”
– Claire Taylor Nelson

“I never thought my puppy would make so much progress… Toni is amazing!!!! HIGHLY recommend to give her a try if your struggling or just need some help!”
– Carly Triola

About the Trainer

Mindful Training is a dog training service based in Austin, TX, that focuses on teaching pet parents how to become mindful, confident trainers for their own dogs. They offer personalized, in-home or remote training sessions that cover basic obedience, puppy training, reactivity, separation anxiety, and other behavior issues. Their unique approach emphasizes gentle, positive methods that empower owners to understand and communicate with their dogs effectively, avoiding force or dominance-based techniques. The team, led by founders Josh and Toni Quinn, integrates mindfulness practices into training to foster calm, joyful interactions between dogs and their humans.

In addition to training, they provide pet sitting, training walks, and mindfulness services for pet owners. They serve the greater Austin area with travel fees applied for locations beyond Austin and West Lake Hills. Their training philosophy centers on building trust, reducing stress, and creating lasting behavioral change through consistent, compassionate guidance.
