Mostly Mutts University Dog Training

Mostly Mutts University is a training program overseen by a certified dog trainer. Dedicated volunteers are trained to teach adoptable dogs important skills and commands, which enhance their ability to find homes and provide additional value to those who adopt a dog from them. The program offers Behavior Help, Online Training, Pre-Adoption Training, Post-Adoption Training, Public Dog Training, and the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups program.

Mostly Mutts University Dog Training is the training program offered by Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue and Adoptions, Inc., a non-profit organization. A certified dog trainer oversees this well-respected program, with dedicated volunteers trained to teach adoptable dogs important skills and commands. This training enhances the dogs’ ability to find homes and provides additional value to those who adopt a dog from them.

They provide various training options including Behavior Help, Online Training, Pre-Adoption Training, Post-Adoption Training, and Public Dog Training. They also run the “Mostly Mutts Prison Pups” program.

Beyond training, Mostly Mutts is actively involved in animal rescue and adoption for both dogs and cats. They offer extensive community support through volunteer and fostering programs, operate the Mostly Mutts Market, and provide valuable resources on pet care, spay/neuter, lost pets, rehoming, moving with pets, pet insurance, and estate planning. Accomplishments

Mostly Mutts has a certified dog trainer overseeing their program. They are included in GuideStar’s database of nonprofit companies with Platinum transparency for 2025, certifying their operational transparency, best business practices, and good stewardship. They were voted Best Animal Rescue by Cobb County residents in a contest by Cobb Life Magazine and the Marietta Daily Journal.

They are a 2024 grantee of The Grey Muzzle Organization’s annual grant, one of 100 awarded to support lifesaving efforts for senior dogs. Their participation in Shelter Animals Count demonstrates collaboration with the global rescue community. Mostly Mutts is also part of Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love® program, benefiting from Hill’s science-led nutrition, and is a 2025 Petco Love grant recipient.
