Testimonials
“It was not easy to turn over our Cooper for eight weeks to a stranger but it was more necessary because we could not live with Cooper’s agression with other dogs anymore. I will never forget Karen’s last words as she drove off with our dog, “Thank you for trusting me with Cooper!” On graduation day, we were so proud to see such a transformation with Cooper as we watched what Cooper had learned. Karen and the staff are highly professional and have compassion that is necessary to take care of your four-legged family member.”

“I’ve had pets my whole life and never until now have I had one that’s professionally trained. Oh my gosh! What a world of difference. I can honestly say that I love this dog more now because she is so good. ‘Anna Banana’ walks beautifully on a leash. My other dogs always seem to be choking themselves and dragging me. Anna won’t step off a curb now until we tell her it’s ‘OK’. We take her off-leash all over the Big Bear mountains and she just loves it and she is always right there in sight. She comes when called and is always a pleasure. We have also had Anna rattlesnake trained. That’s a whole other cool thing, but it protects her and also she will alert us to the presence of a rattlesnake. The training is multi-tiered in that she recognizes rattlesnakes by scent, sight and sound – how cool is that? She does all the basics now like sit, down, stay, speak, ect. In the house, we allow her on any of the hard floors, but she stays OFF the carpet. She is trained to do this thing called ‘place’. When we ‘place’ her, she goes to her dog bed and stays. This allows me to cook or the family to eat without her staring at us. She NEVER jumps on anyone – she will do ‘Shamu’ (up on her hind legs, but she doesnt touch you). This is just the surface of what she is trained to do, but the best part is that she is full of love like a Labradore should be. She’s awesome.”

“It is my pleasure to to recommend the services of Mountain Top Dog Training to you. We are the proud ‘Mom & Dad’ to a Shih Tzu named ‘Molly’. Molly was sweet and loving but somewhat hyper and had a very short attention span. We were having difficulty training her and decided we need the services of a professional. Although it was hard to be seperated from Molly, we kept our focus on the end result. We knew we would be happier and that Molly would be happier if her behavior was acceptable to us. Mountain Top Dog Training was very happy to schedule visitation times for us during her training stay which allowed us to continue to bond with Molly. The training Molly received was very humanely implemented. She was well cared for and treated with respect. We were amazed at how much she learned and how well she responded to the training. She looks forward to the time now working with her and enjoys the mental stimulation. She is always excited to show off her skills and to please us. We have also seen her become calmer overall since she was trained. Mountain Top Dog Training has done a fabulous job and has been very supportive even after training was complete with followups and being available to answer our questions. We found the entire experience to be a blessing.”
