About the Trainer
Murfreesboro Obedience Training Club (MOTC) is an AKC approved dog obedience training club that offers classes at all levels, from puppy to advanced competition. Their goal is to promote a canine-human team, resulting in a dog that is beneficial to society and a better companion to its owner.
The club’s volunteer instructors are active in various dog activities and sports, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classes. MOTC also holds AKC obedience and agility trials throughout the year. They operate out of a 6,000 square foot facility that is fully matted and can be configured into two AKC-sized rings for Obedience and Rally, or used as a whole area for Agility and Flyball. The facility offers limited seating and crating space, with ample parking available.
The building is also available for rent to other groups on weekends or weekdays when classes are not in session. Membership benefits include discounts on training classes and opportunities to train in their facility for various dog activities.
All dogs are welcome, regardless of breed, though MOTC reserves the right to prohibit aggressive or disruptive students or dogs. Classes are group-based, with 5-8 students per class, and run for seven weeks, with training between classes encouraged for best results.
