The Public Access Program is an 8-week Service Dog Boarding and Training program that includes basic obedience, public socialization, introduction to tasking/alerts, and preparation for Service Dog In Training (SDiT) status. This program also provides equipment, an instructional video, and five lessons, concluding with the Canine Good Citizens Test. Private Lessons, or Exclusive Sessions, offer one-on-one attention at the client’s home or chosen location, addressing in-home behaviors or public settings. They also offer behavior modification for issues like door barking, fear of objects, leash reactivity, same-sex dog reactivity, resource guarding, and biting. They do not offer board and train programs for behavior concerns.

Additionally, they provide a “Choosing Your Canine Partner” service, where an evaluator assists in selecting a dog that fits specific needs, such as therapy or service dog roles. This involves phone consultations, an 8-week or more search process for ethical breeders or rescues, and in-person evaluations of puppies/dogs for temperament, structure, movement, and health.

Initial consultations for training programs cost $100, while pet service consultations cost $50. Private lessons are an initial investment of $800 for the first eight weeks, covering up to two dogs and including equipment. Subsequent private lessons are $75 per hour. Bentley Tischauser is an up-and-coming dog trainer who graduated from an apprenticeship with Mutts Be Fantastic Training and Pet Service, having been with them since April 2021. She is currently taking classes with Fenzi Dog Sports Academy and plans to take a class with Top Dog. Charrli Votto has been with the team for four years as a pet sitter and dog walker.

How to Get Started!

To begin services, clients must first schedule a preliminary consultation. For training programs, this consultation costs $100, and for pet services, it costs $50. For private lessons, a consultation is required prior to service, which is a one-time $100 fee and includes a behavioral assessment and detailed treatment plan. Before any booking for puppy and assistance dog programs or private lessons, clients are required to fill out an education package questionnaire.
