Naughty Paws Dog Training

Naughty Paws Dog Training offers both group classes and private consultations. Group classes include Puppy Class, which consists of six 45-minute sessions for dogs 8 weeks to 6 months old, focusing on socialization, relationship building, potty training, leash training, and open Q&A.

The Novice Obedience Class is a seven-session, one-hour program for dogs 6 months and older, covering basic commands like Sit, Down, Stand, Watch, and Come, along with leash manners and addressing behaviors such as pulling, barking, and jumping. Advanced I, II & III Obedience Classes are six-session, one-hour programs for dogs 6 months and older, ideally for those who have completed Novice Obedience, focusing on formal heeling, in-motion commands, the Climb-Stay, and off-leash work. A Canine Good Citizen Class, comprising four one-hour sessions, prepares dogs and owners for the CGC test, which is held in the final week.

Private consultations address specific behavior issues like barking or unwanted behaviors and are typically conducted at the client’s home with all responsible family members present. In-home puppy consultations are available for puppies up to 6 months, providing guidance on puppy care and routine improvement. Dog agility training is offered weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at the Shamrock Pet Resort, designed to improve fitness for both dog and owner and strengthen their bond.

Pricing Summary

In-home behavior consultation is $140 per hour. In-home puppy consultation for dogs up to 6 months of age is $100 per hour.

Sebastian, originally from Germany and a US citizen since 2022, founded Naughty Paws Dog Training. He is passionate about training and competing with his dogs, notably his Belgian Malinois, Flare, who achieved Best Opposite Sex at the Westminster Dog Show in 2022. Sebastian and his dogs actively participate in dog agility competitions.

Naughty Paws Dog Training aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment where dog owners can enhance their relationship with their dogs. Sebastian identifies himself as a “People trainer for dogs,” focusing on helping owners better understand their canine companions.

He completed his training at The FernDog Trainer Academy, graduating in early 2013. Classes are conducted in Prairie Du Sac at the Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital / Shamrock Pet Resort, which offers a spacious facility with a full dog agility setup. This location provides ample room for group classes, access to knowledgeable staff, and veterinary support for any questions or emergencies.

Naughty Paws Dog Training provides private consultations, various group obedience classes (including Puppy, Novice, Advanced I, Advanced II, and Canine Good Citizen), and dog agility training. Sebastian is also a licensed AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator.

Accomplishments

Sebastian emigrated to the United States in 2008 and became a full American citizen in 2022. He graduated from The FernDog Trainer Academy in early 2013. His Belgian Malinois, Flare, achieved Best Opposite Sex at the Westminster Dog Show in 2022. Sebastian is also a licensed AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator. His dogs, Abby and Zira, have earned Agility titles.
