About the Trainer
Nelson Kennels is a third-generation family-operated dog training and boarding business established in 1969 by Grandpa Norm Nelson. The business is now continued by his daughter Linda Azevedo and grandson Scott Azevedo. They are known for their expertise in training pointing breeds for the hunting sport of “field trialing” and also offer general obedience training for all breeds.
The facility, built by Norm Nelson, includes kennels, a grooming shop, bird coops, a barn, stalls, and pasture. Nelson Kennels also operates as a rescue facility and provides full-service husbandry for all sizes and types of dogs, including intact dogs. They aim to provide top-notch care and training, with a focus on techniques that are not harsh.
