Neverland K-9 Institute offers various dog and puppy training programs including household obedience, behavior modification, puppy education, and competition training. They provide group classes, private lessons, in-kennel training, and in-home options.

Basic commands taught include Sit, Down, Loose Leash Walking, Come on command, Greeting Manners (not jumping), Waiting at doors, gates, and for meals, Training with distractions, Climb, and Free. They also address behavioral problems like aggression and reactivity. Specialized training includes ADA & ADI Compliant Service Dog Training, Dog Sports & Agility Training, Evidence Recovery Courses, and Scent Detection & Scent Work. Service dog training is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and includes basic obedience, advanced obedience, skills training, and public access training.

Pricing & Policies

Pricing Summary

Group classes: Canine Good Citizen and Basic Obedience Class is $260. Agility Trick Dog Class is $220 for 6 weeks. Rally Class is $140 for 4 weeks. Nose Work Class is $220.
Lessons & Training Sessions: In Kennel Training is $2300. Puppy Board and Train is $2300. Private Lessons/Competition Training is $80 for 1 hour or $350 for 5 lessons. In Home Lessons are $130 for 1 hour or $600 for 5 sessions.
A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot for board and train programs.

Policies

Board and train programs require a $300 non-refundable deposit to hold a spot. Clients can change their drop-off date only once to the next available date. All vaccines must be given at least one week prior to drop-off.

Accomplishments

Miranda Genetti is a certified dog trainer who graduated first and top of her class at the Tom Rose School for professional dog trainers. She became certified in May 2016 with the help of the VA’s Vocational Rehabilitation program after being discharged as a disabled Veteran from the Pennsylvania National Guard.

She has competed in American Kennel Club (AKC) conformation dog shows since age 9, winning Best of Breed two years in a row at the Purina National Dog Show. Her dogs, Elsa (Belgian Malinois) and Koda, hold titles in Rally, Obedience, Conformation, Trick Dog, Canine Good Citizen, and IGP. Miranda is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Trick Dog Evaluator and a member of the AKC’s Canine Ambassador Program.

To begin, clients need to schedule a free evaluation. This evaluation allows the dog trainer and behaviorist to determine the best way to move forward with a training program for the dog or puppy. Clients can fill out a contact form to get in touch.
