Private lessons provide one-on-one attention for problem behaviors, basic manners, or recall, available at their facility, client’s home, or public locations. Day School integrates training into a dog’s day with play sessions. Board and Train programs offer immersive training in a trainer’s home, suitable for busy lifestyles or when owners are away, covering puppy jump start to off-leash obedience. Group classes and workshops cover basic obedience, recall, CGC/CGCA, trick dog, therapy dog, advanced obedience, off-leash obedience, and puppy classes.

They also specialize in Canine Fitness, offering online and in-person options like online classes, fitness coaching programs, private lessons, group classes/drop-ins, and seminars. Canine Sport Training includes Agility, Flyball, Competition Obedience, Disc Dog/UpDog, Scent Work, Rally Obedience, Dock Diving, and Happy Ratters, available through private lessons, group classes, drop-ins, and workshops.

Pricing Summary

A dog training consultation costs $50 for a 45-minute session. Swimming lessons and dock diving lessons are priced at $50 for a 30-minute session. Pool rentals are available for $35 for 30 minutes or $65 for 60 minutes. New clients are required to pre-pay for any initial pool lessons.

Policies

For pool rentals, an initial lesson is required before scheduling a rental, even for active competitors or previous clients, to ensure rules are followed. For lessons, an instructor must be present for humans to enter the pool. New clients must pre-pay for initial pool lessons, while subsequent lessons can be paid at the time of the lesson. Pool rules and a waiver must be reviewed and signed before the first swim.

New England K9 Athlete offers a comprehensive range of services for dogs of all ages and types, focusing on fitness, wellness, and training. They provide functional exercise programs for puppies, pet dogs, competition dogs, post-rehab dogs, and senior dogs, aiming to build confidence, reduce injury, and keep dogs mentally and physically active.

Their facility, expanded in January 2024, features 4,200 sqft of GrassTex True Turf, 1,500 sqft of rubber flooring, a large fenced outdoor area, and a seasonal outdoor saltwater dock diving pool. Beyond training, they offer wellness services like Laser Therapy, PEMF Therapy, Chiropractic Care, Massage Therapy, and Shock Wave Therapy, with a veterinarian referral required for Shock Wave Therapy. They also host a RAWganics Pet Food Co-Op.

Accomplishments

April Pelletier, the owner, is a Certified Veterinary Technologist (CVT), FitPAWS Master Trainer (FP-MT), and Certified Canine Fitness Trainer (CCFT). She has over 10 years of experience training and competing in flyball, earning titles with all five of her dogs. She has also competed in dock diving for over 9 years, attending and placing at regional, national, and world championships with her dogs. She interned at multiple facilities during college and fostered many dogs, including deaf and blind dogs. Maureen Dwyer is a CNWI who teaches nose work classes.

How to Get Started!

For dog training programs, interested clients need to fill out a dog training inquiry form. This is followed by a 45-minute consultation, costing $50, where training goals are discussed, initial work begins, and suitable programs and tools are recommended. For online or in-person private fitness lessons, clients are advised to contact the business. For pool rentals, an initial lesson is mandatory before booking rentals.
