Testimonials

My family adopted a dog (Remi) from the shelter, not knowing the extent of her past. Remi started getting comfortable in the house, but not liking people coming into her space. I was told to seek help from K9 Solutions and I was paired with Erin, who has a background with aggressive type dogs. Erin was so patient with us, worked with our schedule, and helped out so much with our girl. I’ve even had Blair, who is another trainer there, watch Remi if we go out of town. Even though we are done with training, I know that if I ever need anything or have any questions, any of the staff wouldn’t hesitate to help!

I highly recommend Heather from Next Door K-9 Solutions! We contacted her when our Great Dane puppy started to show anxiety and that anxiety was turning into aggression. We opted for weekly training visits where Heather would come to the house and show me what to do. We started with the basics and moved up from there. When she left I was responsible for the daily practice of skills we worked on. She was very knowledgeable about what each individual dog needs. She was also very patient. I never felt like I was being rushed or that I was doing something wrong. She broke it down into steps and it was easy. Don’t get me wrong, training an aggressive dog is not easy but she gave me the confidence to do the work every day. I saw weekly improvements with my dog. After our weekly training sessions were done, Heather took him on a “day train” once/month where they would go on “field trips” to practice his skills at the park, stores, her house, etc. He loved Heather and would hop right up into her car with no problem. For an aggressive dog to only see her once/month but get excited when he saw her tells me he trusted her and enjoyed the activities they did. He gained confidence going places which gave me confidence when working with him, too. If you are looking for a trainer that gives you options, is patient and straight up with you, Heather will not disappoint!

I seriously cannot recommend Heather enough!!!!! Having a trained, obedient dog was a non negotiable for me. My golden retriever puppy, Honey, turned 6 months old and although she didn’t know any better because she was just a puppy, she needed some major help learning how to settle down and listen to basic commands. She was wild! Lol. She needed help with basic manners (chewing, jumping on guests, counter surfing, crate training, and learning what the word NO means). She chewed a few baseboards in my new house and that’s when I knew I needed to get some help. I called Nextdoork9 and Heather was able to take Honey that very day!! It was incredible. We did the 3 week board and train and it was truly LIFE CHANGING. Heather is extremely knowledgeable and gave me updates on how honey was doing along the way!! At honeys go-home lesson, Heather spent a ton of time teaching us everything that she had done with honey so that we felt confident following through and keeping up with everything she learned. Her behavior change is remarkable. It’s been about a month since getting her back and I’m still in shock at how much of a difference I see in her. She came back fully trained and obedient and the best part is that she still has her loving, silly, cuddly, personality!!! She is trained on and off leash, comes straight to me when I call her name, isn’t interested in chewing anything other than her toys, stays quiet in her crate that she once HATED, does not pull AT ALL when I walk her, and she does every command that Heather has taught her. There have been several instances where strangers come up to me in public complimenting me on how well trained honey is and almost everyone that sees her comments on the fact that she is so calm for being such a young dog. Heather helped me have a dog that is still her fun and silly self but now knows how to calm down when it’s time to calm down. Heather did such an amazing job with Honey and her training was worth every last penny. If I ever got another dog that ended up needing training, they will absolutely be going to her. She is the BEST of the best!!!!!!
