Niagara K9 Training Center offers a comprehensive range of programs. The Puppy Class focuses on critical social development for young puppies (under 5 months), teaching attention, sit, down, come, leash walking, and polite greetings, while addressing common puppy behaviors like house training, biting, and chewing.
The Beginner Class introduces fundamental manners and self-control, covering attention, sit, down, wait, come when called, leash walking, polite greetings, leave it, give and take, and the use of marker and release words. The Intermediate Class builds upon these skills, emphasizing performance under increased duration, distance, and distraction.
Specialized classes include Conformation and Handling, which prepares dogs for the show ring by teaching lead handling, gaiting patterns, presentation, hand stacking, standing for examination, baiting, and free stacking. Other preparatory classes include CGC Prep, Therapy Dog Prep, STAR Puppy, and Nosework. Private Lessons and a Board & Train Program are also available, with Competition Obedience and Rally Obedience classes noted as “Coming soon!”.
