Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
No Monkey Business Dog Training offers private consultations, group classes, workshops, and specialized programs. Private consultations are one-on-one sessions for behavior modification, available at their facility, off-site, or via Zoom/phone, customized to the dog’s specific problems and owner’s lifestyle. Most private sessions are 30-45 minutes to avoid overwhelming the dog or owner.
Their Day Training Program is not daycare but focuses on structure and skill-building for a maximum of three dogs per day, Monday and Thursday. Dogs receive individual training on skills like sit, down, stay, leash skills, and addressing issues like jumping or mouthing, with progress reports and homework provided. This program accommodates any age dog but cannot accept dogs with aggression towards people or dogs.
The Service Dog Program is an intensive, year-long commitment involving private training to teach dogs duties and proper public behavior. The Puppy Raising Program is a Board & Train service where puppies stay with Helen, focusing on crate training, potty training, and socialization. They also offer classes for basic obedience, specialty classes, drop-in classes, and workshops on various subjects, including Dogs & Babies (Dogs and Storks, Dogs and Toddlers).
