Oak Run Kennels

Oak Run Kennels is a small, family-owned and operated kennel located in Southwest Georgia. They have been hunting, breeding, and training their German Shorthaired Pointers since 2003. Their dogs are bred to be versatile, excelling as all-around hunting dogs in the field and as loving family pets at home.

The kennel focuses on maintaining and improving the German Shorthaired Pointer breed, with dogs from excellent American field trial and German DK bloodlines. Their goal is to produce dogs that are naturally talented in the field for hunting on horseback or on foot, capable of hunting a variety of game. Beyond hunting, their German Shorthaired Pointers are family members, great with people of all ages, and have excelled in activities like dock diving and even explosive detection for police and governmental agencies.
