OC Canine Coaching offers several training programs tailored to different needs. The process typically begins with an Initial Training Consultation, available in-person (90 minutes) or virtually (75 minutes), to assess the dog’s behavior, relationship dynamics, and environment.

For ongoing training, clients can choose Private 1-on-1 Coaching, which involves weekly in-person sessions at the client’s home or an offsite location, focusing on consistent adjustments to owner behavior and the environment. Day Training is available for busy owners, where the trainer visits the home 2-5 times per week to personally train the dog, with weekly owner meetings to review progress.

Virtual Online Coaching is offered via video calls for a wide range of behavior issues, including aggression and anxiety, and is suitable for clients outside the service area. Virtual Online Group Coaching is also available for specific issues.

Puppy training programs, such as Proactive Puppy Head Start, Core +, Group Combo, and Prep School Combo, focus on proactive training for puppies from 8 weeks old. These programs cover essential skills like socialization, basic commands (sit, down, stay, recall), potty training, crate training, loose leash walking, impulse control, and addressing common puppy problems like nipping and chewing. These programs can include a mix of in-home lessons, unlimited group classes, and video tutorials.

Policies

OC Canine Coaching’s programs do not involve shock, choke, or prong collars, emphasizing that training will not be painful or scary for the dog. They use reward-based methods and adhere to the principles of LIMA (least intrusive and minimally aversive). The business does not offer guarantees regarding training outcomes, as professional training associations advise against such claims due to the complexity of animal behavior and the involvement of multiple parties. They guarantee to provide their best knowledge and expertise, ensure the dog is not left in a worse state, and that clients will learn more about their dog. Proof of vaccinations is not required prior to training, as private sessions allow for client discretion regarding vaccination schedules or titer testing.

Testimonials

“OC Canine Coaching is simply amazing. Our trainer was patient, friendly, and super knowledgeable. He exceeded our expectations and is so much more than a Dog Trainer. He is a dog whisperer. I’ve tried others in the past, and OC Canine Coaching provides a personal touch that you will not find anywhere else. I highly recommend this service. So worth it!”

“I adopted Maya, a young Belgian Malinois mix, a few months ago. She came from an extremely abusive situation and had pretty severe behavioral and reactivity issues that needed to be addressed. I searched around extensively and contacted a few different trainers and specialists, but remained skeptical (worried about finding someone good enough to handle Maya). However, I finally managed to come across Bryndon who seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Within minutes of the first introductory session, I could tell Bryndon knew exactly what he was doing and gave me the confidence that I had made the right choice. He experienced first-hand what Maya’s reactivity was like, and yet by the end of the first introductory session, he already managed to showcase how we could help her improve. I knew that her issues were bad enough that it would take a very long time for her to get better, but to my surprise she showed massive improvements literally within the first few sessions. Most importantly, he showed and taught me what I needed to do to help guide her along, which was my biggest worry. We’ve both learned a lot (and got to learn a lot of tricks along the way lol). I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have chosen him as Maya’s trainer. He listens to your needs and concerns and actually addresses them, is extremely well informed, and gives you and your dog the confidence they need to be better. He has a good mentality towards training dogs and utilizes positive reinforcement to help correct the source of issues rather than training that only serves to suppress and hide the bad behaviors/triggers. I don’t say this lightly, but I cannot recommend Bryndon enough! If you are someone like me who was both highly skeptical and unsure, try meeting him for an intro, he is very approachable and friendly, and is genuinely honest enough to tell you if he’s the right fit or not. Thank you Bryndon!!!”

“As the new owner of a high-energy German Shorthaired Pointer named Cowboy, who had been surrendered to rescue three times due to behavioral challenges, I knew I was signing up for a challenging but rewarding journey. Thankfully, I found Bryndon at OC Canine Coaching, and it’s been an absolute game changer for both Cowboy and me. From the outset, Bryndon’s approach was impressive. He began working with Cowboy two weeks after I adopted him, and the connection they’ve built in such a short time is nothing short of amazing. Bryndon’s method focuses on positive reinforcement, which not only aligns with my values but has proven remarkably effective. Cowboy, once terrified of any new faces in my home, now greets Bryndon ecstatically–a testament to the trust and bond that they have developed. In just a few sessions, Cowboy has mastered commands like sit, lay down, touch (with his nose), and he can now go to both his bed and crate on command. The progress he has made under Bryndon’s guidance is truly remarkable. Choosing Bryndon and OC Canine Coaching was one of the best decisions I could have made for Cowboy’s training. His understanding and expertise have brought out the best in Cowboy, transforming him from a dog who was once seen as ‘troubled’ to one who is thriving and happy. I can’t recommend Bryndon highly enough for anyone seeking compassionate, effective training for their canine companion. If you’re at a crossroads with your dog’s behavior, give Bryndon a call–it will change your and your dog’s life for the better!”
