About the Trainer

Off Leash K9 Training Harrisburg is a dog training business that specializes in private lessons, dog behavior consultations, and teaching dog owners to understand their dogs’ behaviors. They aim to create a strong bond between owner and dog, allowing for off-leash freedom.

The company believes that 98% of all dogs can achieve amazing obedience, regardless of breed, size, shape, or age. Their training system is designed to work for all dogs and is guaranteed to result in a 100% obedient, 100% off-leash, and 100% distraction-proof dog, achieving a level of obedience similar to police/military working dogs.

The team includes trainers with backgrounds in the military, rescue and shelter volunteering, and former veterinary technicians. They emphasize seeing the joy in both dogs and owners when new commands are mastered off-leash.

Additionally, the owner, Chris Darhower, founded a non-profit called “Cumberland Valley Animal Assistance Program” (CVAAP) which feeds local pets. Lead Trainer Courtney Cavanaugh also co-founded and serves on the Board of CVAAP, providing pet food to residents in need.
