Off The Leash Dog Training and Boarding

“We have worked with Ashley at different times during the past 5 years. She is extremely responsible, a skilled trainer of basic animal commands and more. She understands how to meet the animal’s needs combining it with the owner needs to train a dedicated loyal companion. Other skills she brings to training are for clients that wish to compete with their animal, train for GCC, Agility,Therapy dogs, or service animal, training.Our first meeting was regarding our rescue pup who has PTSD. Through Ashley we were able to give her the skills needed to be out in public with people and distractions in a way that gave our dog confidence and pride in her ability to follow through with commands given. A dog given to hiding under chairs at the beginning became a loyal confident companion. At the end of our trainings Peach trusted Ashley with her life, a trust not given to many from our rescued beauty. Three years later we adopted another canine to our family. Wanting to allow Peach and our newest bundle of joy the best possible outcome as sisters we again enlisted Ashley to help us foster a close, unstressed intro and first few months together. Through her ideas, training concepts and followups we have two pups who get along beautifully. The two play, hangout, and nurture each other.

When leaving for a two week vacation the thought of giving our 1st pup and her new found confidence to another gave us great pause in our plans. We arranged our vacation base on Ashley’s availability to board them. We weren’t disappointed. Ashley provided constant entertainment, amusement and attention to our dogs during our two week absence. Upon greeting our pups on our return they appeared; happy, mentally in great shape (a primary concern for Peach, our PTSD sufferer), and well adjusted as if we had never left. “We have trained with Ashley for about two years now. We started with her the week we adopting our 10 month old terrier mix, Rufus. Since Rufus was a bit older and had been in the shelter system for a long time, we wanted to focus on bonding with him. Ashley has always been enthusiastic about teaching us how to interact and bond with Rufus through training. When we started training with Rufus, we were hoping that he would just be able to do the simple basic commands (sit, down, stay, etc.). We had not idea that after two years, he would have blossomed from the shy shelter dog into the confident little guy he is today. Through Ashley’s guidance, patience, and persistence, Rufus has not only completed all of his basic obedience courses, but has also earned his CGC, CGCA, all of the trick dog titles through Champion, and is now working on Rally. Ashley has always pushed us to not limit what we can do with Rufus. She focuses on his strengths and what he enjoys doing, which is critical, especially with a sometimes stubborn terrier. We are always pleasantly surprised when she comes up with new activities and challenges for us to train and cannot imagine what Rufus would be like without her in our lives.”

“My husband and I have really enjoyed taking our boxers to training classes with Ashley. When we got our younger boxer Coco, she was extremely energetic and we sometimes felt overwhelmed. After taking Ashley’c classes, Coco is like night and day. She is still the same playful girl with her awesome energy, but she listens and behaves significantly better than when she first joined our family. Both pups really enjoyed their training and got excited whenever we got ready for class. My relationships with my dogs is stronger due to Ashley’s training; I have a better understanding of my dogs’ needs and how they communicate. I also feel more confident overall that my dogs trust me and that I have the ability to bring out the best in them. Coco is now a rockstar, and went from the Beginner’s class all the way to being able to pass her Canine Good Citizen test! The training gave both boxers focus and got them socialized.
