About the Trainer
Ohana Pet Training is a dog training business located on Maui, Hawaii, that focuses on building lasting relationships between dogs and their owners through a positive training approach. They offer a variety of services including private lessons, group classes, and boarding.
Private lessons are tailored one-on-one, addressing specific behavioral issues like house training, destruction, separation anxiety, resource guarding, barking, leash pulling, jumping, and recall. These can be conducted in-home, at their classroom facility in Haiku, or virtually via video sessions. Behavior consultations are also available for more severe issues such as fear and aggression.
Group classes provide a fun and friendly environment for dogs to learn new skills and socialize, emphasizing positive reinforcement and bond-based techniques without the use of aversive tools like shock, prong, or choke collars. Additionally, Ohana Pet Training offers board and train services, providing comfortable in-home boarding with daily training and supervised playtime. Other services include dog walking, canine coaching (one-on-one training with just the dog), and pet photography.
