One Proper Pup Dog Training offers both private and group training options. Private training involves developing a customized plan tailored to the dog’s behavior and the owner’s goals.
Group classes include:
* **Puppy Kindergarten Class**: For puppies 16 weeks and under, who are up to date on vaccinations and have proof of a negative fecal sample. This class focuses on building confidence, social skills, basic obedience cues, and fun games.
* **Proper Pup 1**: This class teaches basic commands such as sit, down, stay, and come, utilizing positive reinforcement and treats to help dogs learn polite canine behavior and strengthen the bond with their owners.
* **Proper Pup 2**: Designed for dogs who have completed Proper Pup 1 and can demonstrate basic skills. This course refines existing skills and introduces more challenging exercises, including responding to commands at a distance with distractions, instant recall, impulse control (like “leave-it”), advanced obstacle courses, and tricks.
Testimonials
“Andrew is a superb dog obedience trainer. My pup was frightened, shy, and lacking manners when I brought her to Andrew. His rapport with the dogs as well as the owners is wonderful. His techniques and rationale for what he is teaching make sense and my dog responded right away. He demonstrates and reinforces what we need to do. Andrew spends time getting to know each dog and explicitly explains what he’s teaching. My dog knows her basic commands and others have noticed a positive change in her behavior. I’m happy with her continued progress and the learning I’m taking away from this training too! I highly recommend Andrew!”

“I am very thankful for the training we have received from Andrew. We started with individual classes and saw such great success we ended up taking groups classes as well. Andrew was very helpful and the classes were kept to a small and intimate amount of dogs and owners – great job and definitely recommend!”
– John Smith
“Our family has used the Dog Trainer Andrew for almost 1 year. Not because our dog was not trained but because she learned so much and loved it. We love taking her, watching her grow, and we grew as owners as well. Marley, our Collie is so smart, and affectionate. She absolutely loves Andrew she can not wait to see him and is always ready to please. We have now adopted a 2nd Collie and Marley has been a great teacher. We are eager to start our new pup in classes too!”
