Testimonials

Luke is very knowledgeable and my two labradoodles had fun and learned so much from him. It was amazing to watch. They would look at him as if asking “whats next?! To my delight, they are trainable! Luke trains the trainers as well. That was really important. It was very interesting and helpful to learn more about my dogs behaviors. Luke explained their body language clues and what to watch for. I highly recommend operation good dog!

Enthusiastic and Direct: Absolutely amazing results after our 4.5-month-old golden retriever puppy’s 9-day board and train with Luke! The transformation is incredible. She’s now very calm and her leash walking is phenomenal–she didn’t pull me once on our first try! I’m also enjoying the silence; zero barking in the crate. Highly recommend Luke’s training!

I cannot recommend Luke enough!! He is the most passionate dog trainer I have ever met. Luke took so much time explaining how to understand our dog and how we can best communicate with him. We have a very rambunctious blue heeler named Ranger that we rescued, and Luke helped us make so much progress with him! He had been attacked by other dogs in the past. We’ve worked on a lot of reactivity around guests coming over and meeting other dogs around our apartment. Ranger can be skeptical of some men, but he warmed up to Luke right away! After putting in the time and work with training, Ranger walks much better on a leash, is less reactive to other dogs, and has learned to love his crate more! Operation Good Dog is the perfect place to go for any one on one training you need and to build a better relationship with your pup!

About the Trainer

Owned by certified dog trainer Luke, the business offers personalized in-home obedience lessons, short-term boarding with daily training (Boarding & Bootcamp), and intensive 4- and 6-week Board & Train programs designed to build reliable on- and off-leash control. Luke uses a balanced, reward-based approach grounded in positive reinforcement and LIMA principles, incorporating tools like clickers, food rewards, slip leads, prong collars, and e-collars when appropriate and thoughtfully introduced. Boarding dogs enjoy structured routines with potty breaks, yard time, enrichment, and climate-controlled kennels, with optional upgrades to Bootcamp or Board & Train programs. Luke works with all breeds, sizes, and ages, including fearful, reactive, and aggressive dogs, and emphasizes building strong owner-dog communication.

The business operates out of a home-based facility for boarding and training, with in-home lessons conducted at the client’s residence. Training sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday, with boarding drop-off and pick-up available daily. All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations and flea/tick prevention.

Operation Good Dog distinguishes itself through its transparent, individualized approach, extensive educational content, and focus on long-term behavior change rather than quick fixes. Clients receive ongoing support through follow-up lessons and detailed progress tracking.
