Testimonials
My experience with Katelynn and Palmetto State K9 Training was the best! She was exactly what I needed to hold me accountable for the work my dog needed to make our household better and safer, while being patient with us, knowing what all was going on during that time. I highly recommend their services for you and your dog, because it really is a training process for both of you!

We just got our puppy Sebastian back from training, and it’s amazing what Emily and the team at Palmetto State K9 did for him and our family! Our pup is now eager to please and wants to train more! HIGHLY recommend them! Now if I could just get them to work on my human child…

I got training for both of my dogs to improve leash skills, off leash skills, and general manner/improvements. I only wish I’d gone to them sooner. The impact they’ve had on me and my dogs is incredible. My dogs are so much better behaved and locked in to me and my commands. It’s changed the way I do everything with them. Cannot recommend enough!

About the Trainer
Palmetto State K9 Training is a dog training business based in South Carolina that focuses on empowering dog owners through personalized, hands-on training programs. They believe the owner is the most integral part of the training process and tailor all programs to fit the owner’s lifestyle and goals. Services include private lessons, puppy programs, and board-and-train options, all designed to build obedience, confidence, and good manners. They also offer overnight boarding with training reinforcement, daycare, and graduate events. Their trainers, Emily Stewart-Foxx and Katelynn Picone, use a balanced approach combining positive reinforcement with corrections when needed, and provide tools like prong collars and leashes as part of their programs. Both trainers are highly experienced, with Emily holding a Bachelor’s in Animal Veterinary Sciences and competing in multiple AKC and protection sports, while Katelynn has extensive experience rehabilitating abused animals and training dogs in real-world settings.
They emphasize consistent owner involvement, providing handbooks, video updates, and follow-up lessons to ensure long-term success. Their programs are structured to address specific behavioral issues such as leash pulling, reactivity, separation anxiety, and potty training, with a focus on creating a calm, confident dog that integrates well into family life.
Boarding and training are offered at their facility, where dogs participate in structured daily routines, socialization with other trained dogs, and real-world skill reinforcement. They also offer ongoing support through boarding for continuity of training and access to graduate events for continued learning and community.
The business serves dog owners across the Upstate South Carolina region, with a strong emphasis on building lasting relationships between dogs and their owners through education and accountability.
