During their stay, dogs reside on the trainer’s property, interacting with the family and staying in either a climate-controlled kennel room or within the trainer’s home. Training emphasizes real-world socialization, exposing dogs to various public settings like stores, restaurants, parks, plazas, and areas with children.

Puppy training focuses on establishing acceptable behaviors, house manners, and foundational commands such as “here,” “heel,” “sit,” and “down” (with implied stay). Retrieval training aims to make dogs steady to gunfire and proficient in retrieving until released by name. For dogs that have completed a Board and Train program, refresher courses and follow-up boarding stays are available to reinforce skills or address new issues.
