Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • Balanced Training

Partners Dog Training offers a range of programs categorized into Essential, Foundational, and Behavioral. Essential programs include the PD360 Assessment, DaySchool, and Snake Avoidance training. Foundational programs consist of Foundation Camp (Board & Train), Group Classes, and Private Lessons. Behavioral programs feature Behavior Camp (Board & Train) and Transform Camp (Board & Train).

The Board & Train camps are immersive programs ranging from 10 to 16 weeks, including 14 to 28+ nights of boarding and extensive follow-up training. Foundation Camp focuses on obedience and manners, Behavior Camp addresses general problem behaviors, and Transform Camp is designed for severe reactivity. All camps include a Pet Parent Guide, one-on-one lessons, and group lessons for owners.

DaySchool & DayCamp provides immersive training in indoor/outdoor play areas, covering over 100 behaviors across 8+ grade levels with a 10:1 dog-to-trainer ratio. All dogs undergo a PD360 Assessment for personalized programming. Overnight Boarding is also available, with options to add DaySchool, treadmill sessions, or training. Private Lessons offer personalized action plans for specific behaviors or advanced obedience. Rattlesnake Avoidance training teaches dogs to avoid rattlesnakes in under 20 minutes. Group Classes offer flexible scheduling, covering over 100 behaviors across 8+ grade levels, from Pre-School to Dogtorate, including Agility and Rally. Their general approach involves assessing goals, designing a plan, building foundational obedience, correcting unwanted behaviors, and teaching owners to maintain positive behaviors long-term.

Pricing & Policies

Policies

Partners Dog Training has a minimum age requirement of 20 weeks for dogs to allow for immune system development, but there is no maximum age, and they accommodate all dogs, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. For special diets or medications, owners must bring their dog’s food (more than needed) and medications in original bottles with exact counts; specific instructions apply for organ-function or life-saving medications.

Required vaccinations for all dogs entering their facilities include Bordetella, Rabies, and Distemper/Parvo, which must be administered at least one week prior to arrival. Recently rescued dogs must be home for at least 30 days before coming to a facility, and dogs showing infectious symptoms must be clear for at least a week before returning. The Scottsdale location has staff overnight for emergencies, while the Cave Creek facility does not, though an owner lives on the property.

Testimonials

“Partners Dogs 2-Week Camp was worth every penny! Nicole at the Scottsdale location was amazing and went above and beyond! Bella came home with a strong heel, sit, down, hit your spot (place), and recall. The follow-up lesson was helpful and we worked on a few more commands.”
– Linda P. from Google.

“We sent our little Lily to the overnight camp for 3 weeks. It was tough at first and we missed her so much but she came back changed for the better. She is eager to please and excited to do well and listen. Her main trainer was Monica, who grew very close to Lily. She kept us updated at all times and was super quick to respond to any emails. We raved about it so much that my parents did the same thing for their dog Walt.”
– Katelyn R. from Google.

“Always a great dog training experience! I’ve been taking my Husky named “Cash” to Partners for over a year, for boarding, training, and grooming! Their behavior training probably saved his life! Forever grateful
