We recently sent our 7 month old German Shorthaired Pointer/German Shepherd/Malinois to board and train with Tony. While she is a very sweet girl, she is a mix of three large, high intensity dog breeds and was becoming a bit of a handful. We have two young children and wanted her to be a fun, safe dog that our kids could enjoy and we could take everywhere with us. We knew we needed the help of a professional, but as she is our baby and very people oriented we wanted to send her somewhere where she would receive structure but also love and affection. I firmly believe Tony is one of the best trainers on the island. From the get go I was very impressed with his knowledge and willingness to explain every part of the process. He kept us updated with pictures and videos and exposed her to so many real life situations and set her up for success. When she came home, she was the same silly, happy, slightly crazy girl but one who respected boundaries and commands now. Tony has over 27 years of international dog training experience, including deployment with the U.S. Department of Defense as a Patrol Explosive Detection Dog (PEDD) handler and regional trainer in Iraq and Afghanistan, supervising up to 35 K9 teams. He has trained dogs for police, military, corrections, Customs and Border Patrol, Homeland Security, and the U.S. Marshals Service. He also worked for the largest U.S. service dog organization for disabled veterans and trained working dogs in New Mexico.
