About the Trainer
Paw Creek Training is a dog training business founded by Amanda and Brian, who are dedicated to helping local rescues rehabilitate and train “problem” dogs to prepare them for adoption into forever homes. They offer continued training support for families who adopt dogs that have been part of the Paw Creek Training program.
The business practices balanced training, which incorporates both reward and repetition for teaching new behaviors, as well as correction and consequences for addressing unwanted existing behaviors. They utilize their diverse pack of dogs, ranging from seniors to youngsters and various breeds, to assess a dog’s energy and confidence, which is particularly helpful for dog-reactive or feral dogs.
In addition to their work with rescues, Paw Creek Training provides personalized private lessons for dog owners, available both in-home and on-site at their facility. They also offer intensive Board & Train programs designed to rehabilitate and train dogs on location. They can also assist individuals in finding suitable adoptable pups from their network of rescue contacts.
How to Get Started!
To begin training, clients must fill out a contract and pay a $50 deposit to schedule their first lesson. This applies to both private lessons and the Board & Train program.
