Testimonials
“We cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Julie! Our 11-month-old golden retriever, Walter, struggled immensely with self-control, and as dog parents, we felt completely lost. Julie not only helped Walter grow in this area but also gave us the knowledge and tools we needed to support him. Her training approach was clear, effective, and compassionate, and we’ve seen such an incredible difference in Walter’s behavior. More importantly, we now feel empowered and confident as pet parents to continue supporting his progress. We’re so grateful for Julie’s guidance and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who truly cares and makes a lasting impact.”

“We just completed the 5 week “Good Dog” training class and our golden retriever, Nana, learned so much! What I especially loved about Julie’s class is that she explained the reasons behind a dog’s behavior and how to train them to do what you’re asking. She gave very clear steps on how to teach your dog new things and reinforce behaviors you’ve already set in place. After each class she emailed a handout going over what we did in class so that we could continue to work with our dog at home. It was so helpful to have the handout to go back and read what to do before working with our dog at home. I joined this class because our dog was having a hard time leash walking and following commands consistently. Now, our dog Nana walks next to me on a leash, waits for her release word to exit a doorway, goes to her “place” and stays until we release her, and sooo much more. We are so happy with the progress Nana has made in just 5 weeks. I also love that we learned so much as her owners to help her be successful and understand the reasons behind her behaviors. You can really tell that Julie loves her job, loves dogs, and wants all owners to feel successful training their pups. We can’t wait to join another class in the future to further our training with Nana. We are super grateful for Julie and her training program!”

“Julie was absolutely amazing in helping our abused rescue overcome his trauma. When we asked for her help, our guy couldn’t go to the vet without being completely sedated, and couldn’t be around people, and often nip at our other dog. Fast forward to now…he was able to get a full vet visit, is much calmer, better around people (although we are very cautious), and we’ve even caught the two pups playing in recent days. Our vet was so happy with his progress and said that we saved his life- he would have been euthanized with any other family, we owe so much to Julie!!!”

She is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and has experience working with rescue dogs, including those with trauma or fear-based behaviors.
