Pawsitive Attitudes offers a comprehensive range of obedience and specialty classes. Puppy “O” is a seven-week class for puppies under six months, introducing basic commands, equipment, nose works, and agility concepts, making puppies eligible for the AKC STAR Puppy program. Beginners “O” is a seven-week class for dogs over six months with no prior training, focusing on foundational commands, leadership, and an introduction to nose works and agility.
Progressive obedience classes include Basic “O” (4 weeks), Advanced Basic “O” (4 weeks), Intermediate & Advanced Intermediate “O” (3-5 weeks), and Advanced “O” (weekly). These classes build on learned commands, introduce new skills, and incorporate training in distracting environments, with Advanced “O” preparing dogs for the AKC Community Canine Advanced (CGCA) program. The Combo (Maintain the Train) class offers ongoing practice of advanced obedience cues, integrating agility, nose works, tricks, and AKC FIT DOG, and addresses behavior problems like aggression, chewing, and separation anxiety.
Specialty classes include Agility for Fun, where dogs learn to navigate obstacles and work as a team, and AKC Dog Tricks (Novice and Intermediate levels) which focuses on mental stimulation and strengthening the dog-owner bond. They also offer CGC Dog Prep and Therapy Dog Prep, preparing dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and for roles as therapy dogs, respectively. Training Walks are a three-week class designed to enhance bonding and focus during walks, utilizing advanced CGC training. Fast Cat for Fun provides a course and agility test for dogs, while Scent & Noseworks for Fun teaches dogs to search for specific odors. Additionally, PetTech First Aid & CPR is offered to teach pet owners essential emergency care skills.
