Pawsitive Beginnings offers several core services, starting with mandatory Behavioral Evaluations for new clients. These evaluations are available virtually for those over 30 miles away (30 min) or in-person for those within 30 miles (45 min).
The “PAWLish up Course” is designed for single-goal training to address specific behavioral issues in the home environment. It is offered in Basic (4 sessions), Standard (8 sessions), and Premium (12 sessions) packages, each consisting of 30-minute 1-on-1 sessions, available virtually or in-person. This course is open to both new and returning clients and covers issues like doorbell training, puppy behaviors, loose leash walking, recall, separation anxiety, counter surfing, and window stalking.
“Doggie University” is a premium daycare service that combines fun and learning. It’s a 10-day package operating weekdays with specific drop-off and pick-up times. This program includes obedience training, behavior modification, and puppy training, featuring monitored playgroups and relaxation time. Enrollment requires a prior 30-minute Behavior Evaluation.
“Pupcation” provides luxury in-home overnight stays at the trainer’s residence, where dogs receive reinforced training and owners get feedback on problem areas. This service is available to past and present clients who have completed at least one in-home training session or graduated from training packages. An “Enrichment Add-On” is available for anxious dogs, and a “Bath Experience” can be added at the end of the stay.
Additional services include “Drop in / Walks” for potty breaks and walks, and a “1-Virtual Introductory Session” for new clients.

About the Trainer
Pawsitive Beginnings Dog Training is a business dedicated to fostering healthy relationships between dogs and their owners through personalized training and care. They offer a range of services including behavioral evaluations, in-home training, luxury in-home overnight stays called “Pupcation,” and a specialized daycare program known as “Doggie University.”
Their unique training philosophy, developed by trainer Lateria, avoids the use of shock collars and clickers, and minimizes the use of treats, aiming for more organic communication between dog and owner. This approach was inspired by Lateria’s experience with her own shy dog, Peaches, starting in 2016.
The business focuses on single-goal training to effectively address specific behavioral issues within the dog’s home environment, ensuring thorough training and faster results. They also provide an “Enrichment Add-On” during “Pupcation” for anxious dogs, offering activities that cater to a dog’s natural instincts and needs.
