“Karen is so knowledgeable and caring. When we got our dog 12 years ago we called Karen, she came to our home and in just a few moments she had Stella sitting and “leaving it”! Her training is done with kindness and positive reinforcement. I highly recommend you give Karen a call!”
– Dora Nelson
“We just had a session with Karen for our girl Nala and it was great! Very helpful and informational. I was especially excited to hear Karen takes a holistic approach to food and meds of any kind. Thanks so much for your time:) and thanks to the HOWS Group for arranging the donation!”
– Trish Clinton
“We have been pet owners for 20+ years. When our new Golden Doodle arrived we decided to enroll in Karen’s Puppy 101 training class. She is very professional and has years of experience. Her dog training is focused, skill-based training essential for new puppies and owners alike. She is patient and very kind. We enjoyed the first classes so much that we enrolled in her Puppy 201 class. She offers both small classes and private home visits. She believes in building relationships with customers and their pets. I highly recommend her if you are considering dog training classes.”

About the Trainer
Pawssibilities is a dog training business led by Karen Quillen, an experienced trainer who previously owned and operated All Things Pawssible Training Center in Charlottesville, VA, for 20 years. This former facility was recognized as the largest and most popular in the area, and Karen was voted Best Dog Trainer for several consecutive years.
Having semi-retired from her larger business, Karen now focuses on offering smaller group classes and private training sessions through Pawssibilities. The business provides behavioral consultations and relationship-based training, emphasizing a holistic approach that considers nutrition, training, and lifestyle choices.
Pawssibilities does not adhere to a one-size-fits-all training style; instead, programs are tailored to each dog’s individual personality and preferences. Their methods are humane, motivational, and science-based, aiming to create fun, user-friendly, and successful training experiences. Karen believes that effective training extends beyond basic commands, encompassing factors like food, toxins, stress levels, and overall quality of life to impact behavior positively.
