Testimonials
My Arrow the Airedale, canine star of stage and screen, was 8 weeks old when we began training with Jay Andors of Perfect Behavior Dog Training… Jay’s mentorship and ongoing support has provided a life-long foundation of success for Arrow and our family, and we can’t thank him enough!
– Courtney Bess
We reached out to Jay because our 2-year old Aussie-Collie mix Hazel was terrified of going outside… Jay’s guidance and training have been excellent… We are so happy we chose to work with Jay, and Hazel is too.

Jay combines over twenty years of experience as a professional groomer and certified dog trainer to help dogs and owners build trust, focus, and reliable behavior using positive reinforcement methods. He specializes in puppy training, behavior modification, leash walking, recall, separation anxiety, and canine nose work (scent detection), tailoring sessions to individual goals—from basic obedience to service, therapy, or performance dog training. Jay is known for his patient, fatherly approach, ongoing client support via text, and ability to transform even the most anxious or reactive dogs into confident companions. He also offers pre-puppy consultations and home environment setup to ensure long-term success.
Jay’s training philosophy is rooted in Karen Pryor’s principles of operant conditioning and positive reinforcement, with a strong emphasis on shaping behaviors through small, achievable steps. He integrates scent work as a cognitive enrichment tool, especially valuable in urban environments, and has trained dogs for professional theater, film, and TV roles. His clients include service dog handlers, therapy dog teams, and showbiz dog owners, all benefiting from his deep understanding of canine behavior and emotional well-being.
