About the Trainer
Pet Education Center by TBC offers dog training services focused on positive, least intrusive methods to help dogs and families learn together. Their trainers are keenly aware of normal and abnormal behaviors, the human-animal bond, body language, and prevention techniques. They also know when additional help beyond training is needed.
They provide group classes for puppies and adult dogs, private training sessions, and special workshops and seminars. A unique advantage is their affiliation with The Behavior Clinic, ensuring trainers have a deep understanding of canine behavior. They welcome children aged 5 and up to participate in classes, with a second adult required for those aged 5-8 years.
The center also offers virtual training services via Zoom and VetBadger, making their expertise accessible regardless of location, provided there’s an internet connection and webcam. Additionally, they provide access to a client-only self-serve bathing area.
Accomplishments
The team consists of dedicated trainers with unique backgrounds. Lizz Otero is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) with 5+ years at The Behavior Clinic and an animal science degree. Sarah Karr holds an M.A. in Biology, is a past TBC client, and participates in various dog sports, with a goal to complete her KPA CTP. Tiffany Johnson is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), and a Family Paws Licensed Provider. She is also a Fear Free Certified Professional Elite and aims to become a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Behavior.
