About the Trainer
Pet Pals Country Club offers comprehensive dog training and behavior consulting services, aiming to inspire connections between people and pets. They provide both group training classes and private one-on-one sessions for dogs and cats. Their services include puppy classes, adult dog classes focusing on manners and skills, and specialty classes like agility.
A unique advantage is their integration with Quinn Veterinary Clinic and Behavior Center, led by Dr. Colleen Quinn, a veterinarian specializing in behavioral medicine. This allows them to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for behavioral disorders such as aggression, separation anxiety, fears, and phobias. They also offer pet planning consultations for new family members and educational opportunities on topics like dog safety for kids and preparing pets for vet visits.
Pet Pals Country Club is committed to using only Fear Free, Positive Reinforcement, and Non-Aversive methods, which are science-based and proven to support learning and create happier pets. They strictly adhere to LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Invasive) guidelines and teach using the L.E.G.S. model (Learning, Environment, Genetics, Self) to understand animal behavior.

How to Get Started!
To begin, clients can contact Pet Pals Country Club by phone or email. For behavior consultations, basic information about the client, pet, and problem will be gathered to determine the best appointment type. Some appointments may require a detailed questionnaire. Clients are advised to bring their pet hungry with yummy treats, a mat or rug, and dogs on flat nylon or leather collars or halters with nylon or leather leashes (retractable, choke, prong, or shock collars are not permitted). Videos of behaviors and veterinary health records may also be requested. After a session, a follow-up is scheduled for 6-8 weeks, prescriptions are filled if needed, and handouts/links are provided. A summary of recommendations and a report to the veterinarian are emailed within 1-2 weeks.
