Tried obedience with my lab puppy and finished the full program each time, yet failed each time. One trainer blamed it on the breed. I went elsewhere, and he turned into a different dog.
The only long lasting and unwanted trick that they train the dogs is to hit your hand for food or treats. This is annoying as your dog thinks that they have the dominate right to take food out of your hands because they were trained to do it when they were young in the PetSmart training program.
