Testimonials

I came in with my family to purchase some items and feeder fish, and what I experienced left me shocked and disappointed. While I was patiently waiting for the young male employee to finish assisting the customer in front of me, I was also trying to keep my 6-year-old from opening the cricket cage. At that moment, a female employee walked up–not to assist me, but to chat with the male employee who was already helping another customer. As an afterthought, she turned to me and asked if I needed crickets. I told her no, that I was waiting for feeder fish.

Her response floored me. She asked how many fish I wanted and admitted she “wasn’t good at math,” then asked me to figure out the math myself. I told her I wanted $5 worth, but instead of helping, she put the responsibility on me. While I was literally standing there doing calculations on my phone, she walked away.

The entire exchange came off as rude, dismissive, and insulting. I waited my turn respectfully, only to be met with an employee who clearly had no interest in actually helping me. Her tone and approach made me feel like a burden, and her walking away while I was in the middle of trying to answer her question was incredibly disrespectful.

I left feeling not only disappointed, but hurt by the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. Customer service like that doesn’t just inconvenience people–it makes them feel undervalued and unwelcome.
