PetSmart located at 6420 Weddington Rd, Wesley Chapel, NC 28104 is a complete disappointment and should not be trusted with pet care.
We brought our dog here only because our regular groomer was on vacation — and we deeply regret that decision. What was done here is unacceptable even for a beginner, let alone a salon in a major chain.
The grooming was done extremely poorly. All the tricky areas — paws, head, ears, tail — were either unevenly trimmed or completely untouched. The shape was ruined, and the overall look was messy, like an experiment gone wrong rather than a professional service. It felt rushed and careless, as if no real effort or skill was applied at all.
What’s even more frustrating is the staff’s attitude. No one even tried to sincerely apologize or acknowledge that the job was done poorly or incompletely. Instead of taking any responsibility, the groomer, without much effort and with complete indifference, shifted all the blame onto the dog. We were given vague, unconvincing explanations. However, we’ve groomed our dog many times elsewhere — and never had a single issue. This time the result was just awful. The dog looks like they were groomed with eyes closed.
No professionalism, no accountability, no care whatsoever. Quality was clearly not a priority here.
!! Next time, we’ll gladly wait for our regular groomer — someone we truly trust — rather than put our dog through an experience like this again. If you care about your pet, stay far away from this place.
