About the Trainer
Victoria, the owner of PNW K9 Homeschool, has a lifelong love for animals, having owned a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, rats, ferrets, horses, and more. Her journey into dog training was inspired by her experience with a reactive dog, leading her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others achieve harmony with their pets and prevent them from entering shelters.
PNW K9 Homeschool specializes in building strong bonds and clear communication between dogs and their owners, fostering success through fun and positive methods. They utilize science-based training techniques, employing markers, reinforcers, and clear signals to help dogs make optimal choices, thereby strengthening their learning.
Victoria is a highly certified trainer, holding distinctions from Karen Pryor Academy (KPA-CTP) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) certifications. She is also a Fear Free Professional Certified Trainer, an AKC Certified Evaluator for various programs, a TAGteach Certified Instructor, and a CNWI K9 Nosework Instructor. A unique advantage is her expertise as a Truffle Dog Instructor, having trained dogs for truffle hunting for students across four countries.
