About the Trainer
Positively Randy Dog Training is led by Randy Zicht, an experienced trainer with over 40 years of experience working with mixed and purebred dogs. The business focuses on positive reinforcement training techniques, aiming to help dog owners understand their dogs’ behavior and solve problems independently.
Classes are small and personalized, ensuring individual attention for students and their dogs. Positively Randy offers a variety of training programs including Puppy Kindergarten, Basic/Novice, Open, and Utility classes, as well as specialized Show Classes and private instruction.
The training addresses common behavior problems such as jumping, barking, chewing, house training issues, submissive urination, unwarranted aggression, and fear-biting. Beyond obedience, the programs also cover responsible dog ownership topics like choosing a dog, good health, diet, exercise, grooming, and understanding dog communication.
All classes emphasize positive reinforcement, proper collar and lead fitting, attention and coordination skills, socialization, and one-on-one problem solving. The curriculum is tailored to individual student needs, with special problems handled personally while providing useful information to the entire class.
