Presidential K9 Dog Training & Daycare

Pricing Summary

For training, in-home consultations require a non-refundable $100 deposit, which is applied towards a purchased program. In-facility consultations are free.
The two-day dog training seminar costs $299, with a discounted rate of $249 for current or returning PK9 training clients. A single Saturday session is $199 ($149 for clients), and a Sunday session is $149. Observing without a dog costs $125 for two days or $75 for one day. Discounts include $50 off for more than one dog and $25 off per additional observer. A non-refundable $25 deposit per dog or observer is required, with the full balance due by December 9th, 2024.

Overnight boarding is priced at $70/night for 1-3 nights, $65/night for 4-6 nights, and $60/night for 7+ nights. Holiday rates are higher: $80/night for 1-3 nights, $75/night for 4-6 nights, and $70/night for 7+ nights. A non-refundable $50 deposit is required for boarding reservations.
Daycare rates are $42/day for a full-day, $32/day for a half-day, and $16/hour. Full-day packages include 20 days for $33/day, 10 days for $36/day, and 5 days for $39/day. Half-day packages are $26/day for 20 days and $28/day for 10 days. One-on-one or socialization daycare is $52/day for a full-day, $42/day for a half-day, and $26/hour. Full-day 1-on-1 packages are $43/day for 20 days and $46/day for 10 days. All packages must be paid in full before or on the first day of daycare.

Accomplishments

Luciano Aguilar, the CEO and Head Trainer, served 10 years in the United States Air Force, including five years as a Military Working Dog Handler in the elite Presidential K9 Unit. In this role, he secured Air Force One for Presidents Clinton and Bush, and also secured the arrival of President Reagan’s body transport. After his military service, Aguilar founded his dog training business in Los Angeles in 2005.

He has conducted dog training seminars across the country for various audiences, including law enforcement officers and fellow dog training professionals. Aguilar has made numerous television appearances, including four consecutive seasons as the resident “Pet Pro” on the nationally-syndicated TV show “America Now,” where he taped over 100 segments. He also promoted Disney’s movie “Frankenweenie” as a pet expert. In 2013, he co-created the K9 fashion line “Hound Squad” with Sen Dog of Cypress Hill. Aguilar was appointed in 2012 and elected in 2014 (re-elected in 2018) to the Board of Trustees of the Hawthorne School District. In 2017, he launched Hound Squad Radio, a program focused on pet-human relationships, which has raised over $1,000 for charity. In 2018, he took control of The Dawgs Project, an organization supporting the military working dog community.

How to Get Started!

To begin training, new clients can request a training evaluation by clicking “Create Reservation,” entering their email, creating an account, and then selecting “Training” followed by “Training Evaluation” to choose a date and time. For boarding, all overnight guests must undergo a free in-facility evaluation prior to their stay. New clients booking boarding or daycare must first create a reservation, then select “Daycare” and schedule a “Meet and Greet.” Current clients can log in to make reservations for boarding or daycare.
