Proper Paws Dog Training offers several programs. Puppy Socialization is for puppies aged 8-20 weeks, focusing on polite dog/dog and dog/human social interactions, body awareness, and boundaries in a fun, safe space. Owners learn about dog body language and basic commands.

Adult Dog Training includes Loose Leash Walking, a 3-session private program for dogs that pull on the leash, and Beginning Obedience, a 6-session private program teaching essential commands like Sit, Down, Leave it, Drop it, and Come.

The Dog Life Skills program (Basic and Premium options) is a day training class where dogs are dropped off for four hours weekly to work on obedience, agility, body awareness, and confidence-building with a professional trainer. Monitored playtime is included, and a report card is provided. The Premium option adds a one-on-one walk with the trainer.

For reactive dogs, they offer Grumpy to Great (mild to moderate reactivity) and Growly to Great (moderate to severe reactivity). Both are 6-session programs designed to build a dog’s confidence and help owners understand canine behavior to manage challenging situations. All programs include support for 6 to 12 months and a graduation certificate and gift.

Pricing Summary

Loose Leash Walking is $399 for 3 weekly 1-hour sessions. Beginning Obedience is $499 for 6 weekly 1-hour sessions. Dog Life Skills-Basic is available in packages: $225 for 3 weeks, $700 for 10 weeks, and $1400 for 20 weeks. Dog Life Skills-Premium is $270 for 3 weeks, $850 for 10 weeks, and $1700 for 20 weeks. Grumpy to Great is $599 for six 1-hour sessions. Growly to Great is $699 for six 1-hour sessions. All prices are for the entire class or package.

By enrolling in any class offered by Proper Paws Dog Training, clients explicitly agree to the policies outlined in their Client Service Agreement document.

How to Get Started!

To get started, new clients should click the “New Clients Start Here” button, which redirects to the Proper Paws Dog Training client software (PetExec). Clients create an owner (user) account by filling out the required fields. After account creation, clients are automatically logged in and presented with a Contracts/Agreement page where they need to view and sign the Proper Paws Dog Training Client Agreement Form. A detailed intake form also needs to be completed to help the trainers understand specific training needs. This entire process does not commit clients to purchasing any service.
