Testimonials
We love Pup N Iron! Laurie has trained 3 of my dogs and I have never been disappointed with the outcome. All my dogs have competed in rally and other dog sports as a result of the rock solid foundation we received from Laurie and her team. She hires top notch trainers who promote the positive reinforcement ideology that Laurie and Pup N Iron have stood behind for years. Kevin is another trainer at Pup N Iron that I tip my hat to as well. The variety of great trainers really gives you and your pup an opportunity to receive several different training techniques under one roof. I also love the facility as it’s clean and there is plenty of room to work your dog.

Laurie and her team are absolutely fabulous! Very knowledgeable trainers as well as incredibly friendly. My pup and I learned more than I ever imagined in 8 weeks. This is a clean and safe facility. Every dog must be up to date on vaccines to be in class and each owner/dog duo is spaced apart to ensure all the dogs are safe in the group classes so you know you and your dog are in the best possible learning environment. Dogs who are a little more sensitive have the option to train in the back of the room behind some screens for the dog’s comfort. We had so much fun, and I cannot recommend this place enough! Worth every penny!

We live 4 hours away from Pup’n Iron, we came back to WV yesterday. Yes, we traveled the 4 hours and stayed in a hotel. Just so we could train with Laurie at PNI. We have a 13 week old English Mastiff of course she was doing great in the classes that we attended. Laurie gave us lots of training tips, Laurie is the very best in my opinion. We trained two other English Mastiff’s with her and they passed the CGC with no problems. Both mastiffs did rally o with one taking first place in competition. I would recommend PNI to anyone that wants to have their dog trained using positive reinforcement, which gives you a dog that is true companion. Laurie Williams is the best!

About the Trainer
Pup ‘N Iron Canine Enrichment Center is a relationship-based dog training facility in Fredericksburg, VA, serving Stafford and Spotsylvania counties and surrounding areas. Founded and led by nationally certified dog behavior consultant Laurie C. Williams, the center offers science-based, positive reinforcement training aligned with the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSB) guidelines. They provide flexible group classes for puppies through adult dogs, with three progressive levels—Puppy, Level 1 (beginner), Level 2 (intermediate), and Level 3 (advanced)—offered multiple times per week to allow owners to train at their own pace. In addition to group classes, they offer private behavior consultations for issues like aggression, separation anxiety, reactivity, and resource guarding, using non-aversive, emotionally focused methods. The facility also supports therapy and service dog preparation, rally obedience coaching, and canine fitness programs. Veterinarians in the region recommend Pup ‘N Iron, and many bring their own dogs for training here.
The center emphasizes ongoing enrollment, so clients can start anytime, and offers a gym-style membership model where payment is for time, not number of classes. Clients can attend multiple sessions per week without penalty. Private one-on-one training and virtual behavior consultations are available for busy schedules. The facility is clean, spacious, and designed for safety, with vaccine requirements and accommodations for sensitive dogs, including screened areas for quiet training.
Laurie Williams has over 40 years of experience in dog training and behavior, holds multiple certifications, and is a recognized international rally obedience judge. The team includes other certified trainers who reinforce the same positive, science-backed methods.
