Queen City Canine offers several training programs:
Day Camp: This program is a board and train experience where dogs attend daycare 3-5 times a week for daily training sessions. After 12 sessions, an in-home session is conducted to demonstrate the learned skills. The program focuses on off-leash mastery, socialization, and commands such as heel, sit, stay, come, down, and place, along with general manners training. It includes access to group classes and unlimited in-home sessions.
In-Home Training: An interactive program with weekly meet-ups where trainers teach commands and troubleshoot issues, with owners practicing skills throughout the week. It offers flexible scheduling, covers commands like heel, sit, stay, come, down, and place, and includes unlimited in-home sessions and access to group classes.
Puppy Training (Puppy Basics): A three-session program designed to equip owners with techniques for young pups. It features flexible scheduling, a pay-per-session approach, and personalized sessions. Topics include crate and potty training, addressing nipping, biting, jumping, and introducing essential commands like sit, come, and down.
Boarding & Day Camp Trainings (On-site): This option combines dog boarding with a training program, providing convenience and immersion. Dogs are socialized and trained daily at the facility. Upon completion, trainers bring the dog home and guide owners through the training. Group classes are available as supplemental training.
Leash & Collar Training: This program focuses on teaching dogs to be obedient and walk nicely on a leash. It can be conducted either at the client’s home or on-site at the facility and includes a prong collar.

Policies
All dogs must pass an evaluation before participating in training, daycare, or boarding. Required vaccinations include Bordetella, Distemper, Rabies, and Influenza, with records needing to be up-to-date and uploaded. All dogs over 1 year must be neutered/spayed without exception.
Medication, including supplements, must be provided in its original packaging and will be administered according to instructions. Food must be in a resealable container; house food is available for $3 per bowl if needed. Owners should not bring their own bowls or leashes, but bedding and 1-2 toys are permitted for boarding.
For boarding, check-in is before 4 PM and check-out is before 2 PM, with pick-ups after 2 PM incurring an additional charge. Daycare operates on an alternating schedule of one hour of playtime followed by one hour of rest, from 8 AM to 6 PM, utilizing an indoor play area during inclement weather. Breakfast is served around 7 AM and dinner at 4 PM; boarding dogs are fed separately unless otherwise requested, and slow-feeders are available.
Testimonials
“Our German Shorthair loves visiting her friends at QCC! As a weekly regular, she loves the socialization and always comes home tired from the fun. Big thanks to Alan, Zak and the team for taking such good care of our dog when we are at work or away! QCC is her ‘home away from home.”
– B. Harper
“We love Queen City Canine! My English labs, Sammie and Georgi, adore coming here to play with the other dogs during the day. When they get out of the car they don’t even look back! Both Sammie and Georgi were trained by Alan and his team as puppies and the feedback we get about our labs from everyone is how well behaved they are. We highly recommend the team for training and taking care of your fur babies!”
– C.Boorman
“My pups, Jackson and Goldie, love going to visit Queen City Canine for daycare and boarding! They have been going here since they were both puppies and have even been through training with the team at QCC, so this is like another home for them. Staff are great and know them well, from my dogs’ quirky personalities to how the pups like to walk on their leads. Would definitely recommend QCC for daycare, boarding and training needs!”
