Their dogs are proven hunters, having successfully hunted pheasant in the Dakotas and woodcock and partridge in Northern Michigan, demonstrating strong natural instincts and a desire to perform. Riley was the 2020 Runner Up American Brittany Club National Amateur Walking Gun Dog Champion, placed 4th in the 2021 National Walking Gun Dog Championship, and achieved 3rd place in Open and Amateur at the 2023 National Walking Gun Dog Championship.

Duffee has earned the title of Senior Hunter. Tess has multiple placements in field trials, including a 1st place in Open All-Age at the Pennsylvania Brittany Club Trail and a 4th place at the International Brittany Classic, Open Limited All Age. The business has utilized top sires, including NGDC 2xGFC 4xFC 5xAFC MAGNUM HIGH VELOCITY “GAUGE,” winner of the 2017 Magnum Masked Man award.

How to Get Started!

Prospective puppy owners are required to fill out a “Puppy Application” form. This form gathers details about the applicant’s past and present dogs, their town of residence, the type of home they will provide (e.g., hunting/family, companion, show/field competition), whether they have a fenced yard, and their expectations for a Brittany (e.g., personal hunting companion, family dog, competition dog). The application also asks how the owner plans to meet the active needs of a Brittany. Once the application is submitted, Julie Romence will add the applicant to her contact list and will notify them when a breeding occurs.
